North Las Vegas To Give Away Free Thanksgiving Turkeys
We all know the drill. It’s almost time for us to gather around the table to feast our hearts out for Thanksgiving, and we need a turkey.
The stores are either sold out, or the turkeys are too expensive. You try to be resourceful and look for a turkeys on Craigslist, but apparently, everyone else had that same idea. And then you come across this post, and all hope is restored as your eyes scan the headline… You read that right! North Las Vegas is giving away free Thanksgiving turkeys!
The city says the giveaway will be held on Saturday, November 12th at Liberty Park, 2250 Las Vegas Boulevard North. The free turkeys will start being dispersed at 9:00 a.m. and you’re going to want to get there earlier rather than later for TWO reasons.
1) Fox 5 reports that North Las Vegas says their “supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.”
2) Our FREE pet event, Paws In The Park, is ALSO on Saturday, November 12th. The fun begins at 10:00 a.m. at Desert Breeze Soccer Park, just one hour after the turkeys go up for grabs.
So if you’re trying to snag one of those delicious, free turkeys, get there beforehand. The early bird catches the… bird.
This is amazing news! If you act fast, you can get a free turkey for your Thanksgiving feast. Just make sure you bring your own cooler and ice. You don’t want that thing to thaw on your drive home. Also, be prepared to stand in line because I am sure there will be a lot of people there looking for a free turkey.
So, if you are in need of a turkey this Thanksgiving and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for one, head on down to Liberty Park in North Las Vegas on Saturday, November 12th at 9 am sharp, get that turkey home and in your freezer, and then head to the biggest pet party in the valley, Paws In The Park!
Happy Turkey Day!
