Felon Fell On Floor After Accidentally Shooting Self In Las Vegas Casino
There are several things you want to hit in Las Vegas. Hit in Blackjack with a 14 and the dealer is showing a face card. Hit up a great restaurant. You most certainly do not want to hit the ground though, especially by shooting yourself.
That’s what happened when 30 year old local Ronnie Delouth was perusing the floor of The Cosmopolitan Of Las Vegas on Tuesday, February 21st. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were called to the casino floor to tend to a man on the floor who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
The wound, to his left thigh, was serious enough to have Delouth rushed to UMC in critical condition. Now it’s time to figure out who shot him.
Who was behind this Las Vegas shooting at The Cosmopolitan?
It was Ronnie. Ronnie did it.
Turns out, when casino security went to the “eyes in the sky” they spotted the moment where Delouth dropped to the floor. Metro says the rest the best: “Delouth rolls around on the ground, reaches down the front of his waistband, removes a black handgun, throws the handgun under a slot machine, and crawls away.”
Yes, it turns out Delouth, who has been convicted of several crimes including burglary, attempted robbery and possession of a weapon… possessed a weapon. He shouldn’t have, as he is banned from doing so in the state of Nevada. Turns out the gun was a so-called “ghost gun”, that lacks serial numbers and is therefore “not traceable”. Unless, of course, there’s video of you throwing it under a slot machine.
Also bad news for the freshly wounded shooter? There was a warrant out for his arrested for petit larceny (intentionally taking, stealing, etc something the value of $650 or less). Now he’s in Clark County Detention Center with a hearing set for Tuesday, February 28th.
