Climber Makes It To The Top Of Las Vegas Sphere, Is Arrested
You can say it was “ballsy” stunt. With the Super Bowl happening this weekend right here in Las Vegas, you’re sure to see a spectacle both on and off the field. Football is on the menu on Sunday. A ball of a different kind was had by a local earlier today. For the first time that we know of, an illegal climber made it to the top of the Sphere.
You’ll see building climbers scaling the sides of famed buildings for a cause quite a bit. This time it is a local. 23 year old Maison DesChamps who touts himself as the “Pro-Life Spiderman”, got to climbing on Wednesday morning and reached the very top. Then he whipped out his phone and recorded a video for his Instagram.
“Hey guys, I’m here on top of the Sphere,” Maison said in the reel. “We are doing this today to raise money for a woman named Isabel. She is homeless and pregnant and needs help guys.” His mission is to raise enough money to help stop the woman from having an abortion, and sent people to a website to help her. As we understand it, GoFundMe is still an option, but he took the more difficult approach.
Las Vegas Metro took him into custody just before noon and we are pretty confident they made him come down first.
This Isn’t The First Time The Sphere Climber Illegally Scaled A Las Vegas Building
Turns out this guy doesn’t just hate abortions, he hates masks too. Back in 2021, he scaled the Aria to protest mask mandates in the state. In that stunt, he told the RJ that his grandfather took his own life during the COVID lockdown and he wanted to protest what he felt was government overreach.
We smell a new final round for American Ninja Warrior.
