Taylor’s TTPD Features A Track Shading Kim Kardashian
It is Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department release day, and one of the biggest revelations is the Kim Kardashian diss track. As part of the singer-songwriter’s double album, track 24 out of 31 is titled “thanK you aIMee.” See what she did there?

Track Shading Kim K
She absolutely came after Kim with line after line. Swift 34, boldly sings in the track shading Kim: āI don’t think you’ve changed much, and so I changed your name and any real defining clues. And one day, your kid comes home singinā a song that only us two is gonna know is about you.ā
Some more of the song’s lines clearly about the SKIMS founder include: āI wrote a thousand songs that you find uncool. I built a legacy which you can’t undo, but when I count the scars, there’s a moment of truth that there wouldn’t be this if there hadn’t been you.ā
Fans React To ‘thanK you aIMee’
Many fans used the clip from Euphoria where Maddie (played by Alexa Demie) asks, sitting from the audience, “Wait, is this f—ing play about us?” One person said on X (formerly Twitter): “Kim K & Northās reaction waking up to āThank you, Aimee.ā” Including the lyrics: “bitch f— you and your ex-husband,” one fan wrote: “Taylor cooked the plastic out of Kim k [laughing emoji].” Another said: “I aināt a huge swiftie but hey someone had to say it .. f**** Kim K.”
Fans were giddy with delight about the diss track. One person said, “Taylor Swift making a whole diss record about Kim K is absolutely hilarious!! Hopped on that track like, ‘AND ANOTHER THINGā¦!!!'” A second said, “Iām still LOL-ing at Taylor Swift writing a diss track for Kim K. Katt Williams truly opened a portal. One person added, “Personally I think there should be more songs written about dissing Kim K..” Showing a reaction gif of a surprised Swift, one fan said, “taylor dropping a kim k diss track was not on my 2024 bingo card but iāve never been happier.” Wrote another, “Today I have become a fan of Taylor Swift. Swifties, please allow me to join your cult and bring down Kim K.”
More fans were absolutely brutal to Kim. Including the lyrics, “there’s a bronze spray tan statue of you,” one fan commented, “the kim k shade is crazy.” Another said, “I’m not even a Swiftie and Kim K deserves to be dragged for the rest of her life. She doesnt deserve peace. Shes a culture vulture without an ounce of originality. Her empire was built off a leaked sex tape and stealing from small artists.” Another non-Swiftie praised the track, writing, “Am I a Swiftie? NOPE. Did I stay up all night listening to her new album(s)? Nahhh – that was my toddlerās fault. Am I actually excited thereās a Kim K diss track bc I think that woman is awful? YOU BETCHA.”
Kardashian Defenders
However, there were folks who thought Swift bringing up drama from 10 years ago is cheap. “Taylor Swift mustāve had the easiest life in entertainment if the most traumatic moment was Kanye snatching a mic,” wrote one person. “Milking ātraumaā from Kim K & Ye after all this timeā¦ Maybe itās a white women thing they need something to cry & play victim abt even if itās been years.” One person, not wanting any blowback by Swifties, commented, “Iām not trying to shit on Taylor Swift, but am I the only one that thinks her bringing up Kim Kās kids and saying her mom wished she was dead over a decade old drama is insane?Ā lol (Swifties please donāt kill me [sobbing emoji]).”
Another Kim K defender wrote, “another tayloser swift song about kim k omg get a grip childā¦..itās getting weird.” Added another, “I see Kim K still lives in that womanās head rent free.” One person called Swift’s mention of Kim’s sextape to be “SO NASTY! SO RUDE!” A third said, “sheās still talking about this situation from nearly 10 years ago??? girl move on, youāve named yourself a ‘feminist’ why are you stirring up this old drama with another woman in your songs? you think kim k letās this take up space in her head? itās giving victim complex.”
Added another, “t*ylor swiftās lyrics are so bad i canāt believe they are real and people like them and i canāt believe she has released a song about kim k in 2024.” One fan said Kim would get her revenge: “Now Kim K going to sleep with your Man when yall break up Taylor [crying emoji].” One person said, “t*ylor sw*ft dissing kim k over 10 yr old beef is giving bitter, sad and cannot move on. she divorced the n—-a that REALLY did s— to you.”
6 Wild Moments From Coachella
Coachella 2024’s first weekend came and went with a bang. The famous California Music & Arts Festival had us in shock and awe with amazing special guests throughout the weekend.
During weekend one, big names like Bebe Rexha, Tems, Victoria Monet, Renee Rapp, Tyler, the Creator, Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice, Sublime, Vampire Weekend, Doja Cat, J Balvin, Jhene Aiko, No Doubt, Coi Leray, Grimes, 21 Savage, Lauryn Hill, Taking Back Sunday, Lil Yachty, and many more.
As always, famous faces were in attendance, watching their friends perform and letting loose with the rest of the crowd. Notably, Justin Bieber showed up without his wife, Hailey Bieber, adding to the rumors that their marriage isn’t doing well. Meanwhile, love birds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce hit up multiple stages, watching from the pit and getting super affectionate.
While folks were expecting perfect shows and wild special guests brought on stage during performances, there were some artists who dropped the ball during their set. Grimes kept fumbling with her mixes during her set. She told the crowd that there has never been a show of hers without a “technical difficulty,” and as she tried to explain to the Coachella crowd, she said, “Don’t blame me because it’s not my fault! Well, it’s partially my fault, but it’s not entirely my fault.” In the “classic Grimes fashion,” the musician added that her songs had been set to a double tempo and had to do “a lot of internal math” to try to get it sorted to play for the patiently waiting crowd.

On social media, however, fans were making fun of her meltdown at the technical difficulties, with users pointing out that this isn’t the first time Grimes has done this at her concerts. Meanwhile, one fan said, “This could be the worst performance in the history of Coachella.” She took to X (formerly Twitter) to issue a formal apology to fans. Adding that she “admittedly am not in the best mood atm,” Grimes said her set next week “will be flawless.”
Besides the mishaps, there were plenty of awe-inspiring, wild moments from Coachella’s first weekend.
