- It was a big day in Las Vegas as 4th of July festivities were in full force yesterday. The triumphant return of the Summerlin Patriotic Parade after a two year break… Golden Knights stars Zach Whitecloud and Logan Thompson had a float of their own.Then, fireworks displays from all the major properties were on full display throughout the valley last night. While the Station Casinos fireworks ended around 9:20pm, your neighbor’s might have stopped a little later. The website ISpyFireworks.com was working overtime last night. If you were wondering which neighborhoods were the biggest fireworks complainers on the site, last year North Las Vegas as a whole took the cake, Mountains Edge was a close second, followed by just northwest of downtown at Washington and Pecos.
- ANIMAL FOUNDATION WAIVING FEES
- With the craziness of last night it is a guarantee animal shelters are going to be bursting at the seams with runaway pets. Fourth of July is the worst time of year for missing animals, bolting from backyards after being frightened by the onslaught of fireworks. Well, The Animal Foundation knows this and is waiving all reclaim fees for lost and stray pets between now and July 10th. If you are on the hunt for a lost animal, you can head to the Lost & Found section of The Animal Foundation website
- WATCH FLIGHTS TAKE OFF AGAIN!
- It was closed for about two years, but it just reopened – the Sunset Viewing Area for Reid International! It opened for the first time over the weekend, after it was shut down due to financial cutbacks during the pandemic. The location is open from 9 to 9 daily.
- JOEY CHESTNUT REIGNS AGAIN!
- Finally, hot dog eating champ Joey Chestnut reigns supreme once again, downing 63 hot dogs in 10 minutes, all while choking out a protestor that ended up on stage next to him.
