Missing Pets And Happy Endings
Not every missing dog story has to have a sad ending. My dog was taken 4 years ago today by the paper boy. She was missing for 48 hours until we got her home. She was only about 12 weeks old and it was devastating to our entire family. It took the entire community coming together to help us. It’s not something you can do on your own. Family, friends, and strangers were putting up flyers, knocking on doors, and walking around with treats looking for our pup. It can be done.
Neighbors had video of a car stopping and picking her up and putting her in their car but it was dark and we couldn’t see license plates. Luckily my husband watched it about 1000x and realized that it was the paperboy because he heard the paper hitting people’s driveways every 10 seconds or so. We contacted the paper and his employer called and emailed him with no luck. We found his name and address with detective work and my husband went to his house to get our puppy back! It was a crazy couple of days, but it just goes to show that together as a community helping each other good things can happen.
We can do that for a family here in town! We can help them with their happy ending by helping bring their dog Frankie home. Frankie went missing on 6/17/22 while he was being watched by a dog watching service in town. There is a reward for anyone that will give him back to his parents no questions asked. A GoFundme stared to up the reward for his safe return!
There are good people and good stories out there so let’s hope all of the lost furbabies are always returned to their families.
