Kim Kardashian Will Give Up Reality TV To Be A Lawyer ‘Full-Time’
Kim Kardashian is actually considering ending her reality television career. While the Kardashians star attended the TIME100 Summit on Tuesday (April 25), she shared that she would put it all behind her for a future in criminal justice reform.
Kim, 42, said, “I would be just as happy being an attorney full-time,” when asked if she would ever consider a life without being filmed. “The journey just really opened up my eyes so much,” she continued. “It gets overwhelming because there’s so much to be done … I brought my sister Khloe [Kardashian] to a prison for the first time last week, and that was really eye-opening for her.”
Life’s Most Meaningful Work
While not yet an official lawyer, the SKIMS founder shared with moderator Poppy Harlow that she hopes her efforts in the movement will be her “life’s most meaningful work.” She added that she jokes with momager Kris Jenner, “Kim K. is retiring, and I’m just going to be an attorney.”
Kardashian’s reform work began in October 2017 after learning about the case of Alice Marie Johnson, who had been in prison since October 1996 after being convicted for helping facilitate communications in a drug trafficking case. Kim fought for her clemency, and in 2020, Johnson was released from prison.

Since then, Kim continued to advocate for other wrongfully convicted inmates. Though she passed the baby bar after her fourth try in 2021, she hasn’t passed the bar exam yet. Celebrating her achievement at the time on Twitter, she wrote, “OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!! Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today in the reflection. For anyone who doesn’t know my law school journey, know this wasn’t easy or handed to me.”
“I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!! (I did have COVID on the 3rd try w a 104 fever but I’m not making excuses)” she continued in a lengthy thread.
