Senior Pranks On The First Day Of School – This Is New
Ahh, senior year. That bittersweet time in all of our lives when we’re just about ready to say goodbye to high school and embark on the next chapter of our lives. It’s bittersweet. But in the midst of all the exams, college applications, and final moments with friends, there’s one tradition that seniors from all over the country have upheld for decades… senior pranks. Marietta High School did it a little differently though… they did their senior prank at the beginning of their senior year. They toilet papered the entire school and all of the trees to kick off their senior year. Apparently Marrietta High holds that tradition. The seniors do that to kick off their year every year for decades.
That is funny for sure, but I think mine was the best.
On the last day of school before final exams, I stole the school mascot, which was a blue devil, and I wore it to school. I was a swimmer so I put a bathing suit on top of it and had it on all day long. When seniors were let out I walked out to my car and had my girlfriend drive it around the front circle blaring “Schools Out” by Alice Cooper, and I was sitting on the roof. All the kids and teachers looked out the window laughing and clapping. I returned the mascot that day.
Senior pranks are a time-honored tradition that brings a little bit of fun to the stressful and emotional time that is senior year of high school. From the silly to the elaborate, these pranks are a testament to the creativity and humor of teenagers. So go ahead and start planning your own prank – just make sure it’s one that won’t get you into too much trouble! And if you’re no longer in high school, take a stroll down memory lane and reminisce about the pranks you and your classmates pulled off all those years ago. I bet it will bring a smile to your face.
