Bill Cosby Again Accused Of Sexual Assault, This Time In Las Vegas
He was everyone’s television dad. Before Tim Taylor sent his sons to bed with a grunt and Danny Tanner gave his girls a life lesson, there was Cliff Huxtable. The character, played by Bill Cosby, was the moral authority for a generation of viewers. Sadly, we have learned that Cosby’s off-camera persona was anything but squeaky clean. Now a new sexual assault accusation dating back to the 1980s here in Las Vegas has landed in court.
The complaint, filed late last month in US District Court, alleges that Cosby first spotted her when she was 15 years old, offering to help her kick off her entertainment career. The familiar sounding narrative continues, with the then 17 year old girl doing a photo shoot that the actor set up for her in 1986. She was then allegedly shepherded to an elevator that brought her to his swanky suite in the Las Vegas Hilton where she worked.
There, she alleges he gave her a pill and a drink to wash it down with. She soon felt like she needed to lay down and she allegedly woke up, nude, with money near her clothing.

While one 2016 criminal case ended in a mistrial, another in 2018 found Cosby guilty. He was sentenced to 3-10 years in prison. However in 2021, this conviction was overturned. Why? Because a prosecutor (not the one that prosecuted him) promised he wouldn’t be charged in that case. Yes, seriously.
What To Do If You Have Experienced Sexual Assault?
Unfortunately stories like these are far too common. Staying silent is not the cure. Start with the National Sexual Assault Hotline, run by RAINN. Their number is 1-800-656-4673 and offers around the clock support, confidentially.
In 2023, Governor Lombardo signed Senate Bill 129 into law which abolished the statute of limitations of sexual assaults in civil court. Almost immediately after its passage, nine other women accused Cosby of assault. It is never too late.
