Amazon Put Song Lyrics On Their Boxes And We Feel Old

Amazon recently did something really cute and entertaining and put song lyrics on their boxes. But we feel old now because our kids have no idea what the song is.

Our Amazon boxes will bring us down memory lane now because they put lyrics to Sir Mix A Lot’s song ‘Baby Got Back’ on the side of their bones saying ‘Oh. My. God. Becky. Look. At. This. Box.’ This is obviously a play of the 1992 hit song, which opens with two women saying: ‘Oh my god Becky, look at her butt‘.

It’s cute, it’s funny, it’s entertaining but makes us, Millennials, feel really old because our kids, or just Gen Zers, in general, don’t know what it’s from. Graphic Designer Tiffany Hardy, 36, said that she was shocked when her 14-year-old step-son didn’t get the reference.

You have to read the comments on Amazon’s post. The internet is so creative and funny.

Rachel Castillo commented “I like big box and I can not lie. Them other merchants might deny. When the delivery comes with an itty bitty waist and puts that big thing in your face you get SPRUNG…”

Becky Trimboli commented “The first time I got this box my kids were convinced Amazon was personalizing boxes <3 <3”

Other people shared what different boxes they have seen at their front door some saying “You think you’re excited. Wait until your cat sees this box” and, “just a box standing in front of a door waiting to be opened“.

I hope they continue to do cute things like this on their boxes. I mean at least entertain me I spend thousands of dollars there every month… or at least my husband does 😉
