No Money For Tickets To See VGK? Arena Too Busy? Head To Henderson
Tuesday has the potential to be historic! The Vegas Golden Knights are getting set to play in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. If they win, they take the Cup! Sure, being there would be awesome if you’re a millionaire. Sure, going to Toshiba Plaza sounds fun but the parking will be a nightmare. There’s one watch party you’ll want to check out in Henderson that might be just right.
The city is holding a Golden Knights Water Street Plaza Watch Party Tuesday night, with puck drop after 5pm. That said, fans are expected to show up early, and chances are you should as well.
A jersey giveaway will be going on, along with a live DJ to play during the commercial breaks (and during Matthew Tkachuk’s next hissy fit) with food and drinks available throughout the plaza. It should be a perfect middle ground for the family that wants to party, but doesn’t the insanity.
Water Street will be closed to cars from Atlantic Ave to Basic Road as they are expecting a lot of fans to descend upon the city. You’ll be able to find free parking if you’re early enough at the Water Street Parking Garage. You’ll also find some at City Hall.
What can we eat while we watch the Golden Knights and party in Henderson?
There are a ton of restaurants in the immediate area, which will be serving up food and showing the game as well. Mackenzie River Pizza (the same that you’ll find at City National Arena) is nearby, along with sushi, Mexican fare, bar food and more.
Sure, you could watch at home… but potentially watching a moment in history with a bunch of your neighbors… pretty incredible. Bring the family and party!
