Adele Celebrates Pride Month By Yelling At Fan In Las Vegas
June 1st is the official start of Pride Month a time dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. A lot of celebrities and public figures take the opportunity to show their support. Adele Celebrates Pride Month always and she took the time to show support at her “Weekends with Adele” residency show here in Las Vegas and ended up having to clap back at a fan.
Adele Celebrates Pride Month And It Goes Wrong
The whole thing went down on Saturday night just a few days into Pride Month. Adele is known obviously for her powerhouse voice, but also her candid, unapologetic, and very unfiltered personality. She was engaging with her audience as she does in every single show (and I wouldn’t be the only one who says that’s one of the great things about the show). As she spoke to the crowd she took the time to acknowledge the beginning of Pride Month. She expressed her support and love for the LGBTQ+ community.
Well, the mood took a quick turn for a quick second when Adele believed she heard a homophobic remark from someone in the crowd. Without even skipping a beat Adele addressed the comment in a very Adele fashion. Another fan caught the whole thing on video, which quickly went viral.
“This is a place of love and acceptance”
In the video you see her pausing her performance and directly addressing the fan. “Excuse me, what did you just say?” Then saying “We don’t tolerate hate here. You can leave if you are going to be disrespectful.” Adele didn’t look like she was playing around.
The crowd cheered and clapped because of how Adele celebrates Pride Month and how she put the fan in their place.
We love having Adele here in Las Vegas and she loves being here too. The show is phenomenal if you haven’t seen it I highly suggest you check it out before it wraps. Though I feel like she will and could do this for the rest of her career and sell out every time. Don’t put it off just in case! Get your tickets here.
Adele’s outspoken support for the LGBTQ+ community during her Las Vegas residency is an inspiring moment. Here’s to more moments of love, acceptance, and fearlessness. Let’s make Pride Month a celebration of who we are, no matter who we love. Watch the video of Adele telling fan off for being hateful. (Language)
