Best Motion Picture – Drama, Golden Globes Winners Since 2000
The Golden Globes Awards are tonight. Everyone is really excited about tonight’s show. Since covid, the show has been up in the air. Shot from home, streamed and not televised and last year, didn’t even happen. Comedian Jerrod Charmichael is hosting tonight’s show and he has big shoes to fill after repeat host, Ricky Gervaise always has everyone on their toes. One of the most looked forward to awards is for Best Motion Picture – Drama. We all love a little drama especially when it’s not ours.
The different categories for movies weren’t always awarded.
When the award show was introduced, there was a single category for Best Picture. Starting with the 9th Golden Globe Awards, the Golden Globes split the Acting and Best Picture awards into Drama and Musical or Comedy categories. This award goes to the producers of the film.
