Say your kid decides to go to UNR instead of UNLV. After the immense amount of anger, you are resigned to making the trip north every once in a while. But the drive? It is awful. Well, Frontier Airlines flights from Las Vegas to Reno are coming, and it is coming just in time for some.
Frontier has left the Reno-Tahoe International Airport more than once. See, they “returned” back in 2017 only to leave again. But the discount airline is returning to Northern Nevada with nonstop flights to both Las Vegas and Denver, one of Frontier’s hubs.
How Much Are Frontier Airlines Flights From Las Vegas To Reno?
Of course, the flights don’t matter if they are too expensive. Thankfully it looks like they’ll be offering inexpensive fares at the beginning, starting at just $19 each way. That is an absolute deal, especially considering just driving would cost more at the gas pump. Not to mention the hours of your life you’ll get back.
Don’t expect too many flights. The airline only expects to fly out of RNO three times each week when service begins on March 7th.
There are definitely other options to fly direct to Reno, but it doesn’t hurt to have more options. Frontier Airlines flights from Las Vegas to Reno means more competition which could drive the cost of a flight down.
Perspective: as of the writing this article, on Friday, March 7th, the Southwest flight jumps to $190 and Spirit blows up to $369. Frontier currently prices the flight at $264, and that price could come down. The Monday, March 10th flight drops to a ridiculously low $19.
Flying Frontier Airlines Isn’t As Abusive Anymore
Sure, flying Frontier isn’t necessarily the most beautiful experience. But the airline has been making strides in making flying the airline slightly less painful. They don’t charge change or cancel fees anymore. But they are still charging for carry on bags. But hey, nothing a personal item sized specialty bag won’t fix.
All because your kid didn’t go to UNLV. Ugh.
