Nevada Video Gamers Red Hot, Among Most Likely To Rage Quit
Hell hath no fury than a gamer getting sniped in a first person shooter by a 9 year old in Iowa talking trash about your mother. Yes, video gaming has gone far beyond the early days of Mario and Metroid. The games are more interactive, the fandom is more ravenous and the emotions are raw. Turns out Nevada is rawer than most, ranked as the second most likely to have gamers rage quit in the country.
What does it mean when gamers rage quit?
A player “rage quits” when they, upon losing a game either as a single player, or against other players. The amount of stress and emotion erupt into a glorious outburst of anger that results in many different childish acts. From turning off the game before it ends, to fracturing the controller in their hands, or even using it as a projectile. Many flat panel TVs have fallen victim to rage quitters who are blinded by rage.
You’ll see in the video (salty language, sorry) that people of all ages rage quit. Heck even Snoop Dogg rage quits! And that guy is as mellow as they come!
DatSlots.com came up with the list by coming up with the number of searches for gaming controllers per capita. The more broken controllers, the more people would be searching for replacements. (This obviously relies more on console gamers than keyboard and mouse users).
Nevada ranked number 2 on the list with 586.57 searches for controllers per 100,000. Everything is bigger in Texas – mainly rage. They took the cake with 603.04 searches per 100k.
Looking for a place that’s a little less ornery? Hawaii is the least rage quitty (go figure), followed by Alaska and Vermont.
