Is ‘American Idol’ Doomed With Katy Perry On Board?

So far, Katy Perry is the only star signed to judge the competition.
Stars like Luke Bryan have been contacted and negotiated but some are holding out for paydays, while Katy is the only one officially signed on.
The trouble with that is, Katy will soon be touring for ‘Witness’ and if they don’t get rolling on the show soon, Katy’s involvement may be shortened or altogether be axed.
There are no other prospects right now other than Luke Bryan according to TMZ, so if they end up prolonging filming for too long, it could doom the series.
