Lori Loughlin and her Daughters Cover the New ‘People’ Magazine
Lori Loughlin and her daughters are on the September 2 People magazine cover, and sources close to the actress are giving some insight into her current state of mind since the college admissions scandal broke.
A close, legal source has told People that Loughlin is “ready for this to all be over.” The source goes into detail by saying, “Lori is remorseful, and she has definite regrets. She’s embarrassed and hurt, and she knows that her reputation has been ruined for life. But she also believes the allegations against her aren’t true.”
The source also adds, “She honestly didn’t think what she was doing was any different than donating money for a library or athletic field. That’s the crux of why she pleaded not guilty.”
To recap, Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli allegedly paid $500,000 to falsely designate their daughters, Olivia and Isabella, as recruits to the USC crew team. Neither girls actually played the sport. Almost 50 other parents were involved in the scandal, including actress Felicity Huffman.
