Las Vegas Red Bull Addicts Steal Thousands Worth From Costco
I love my energy drinks as much as the next caffeine-obsessed, twenty-something. One coffee or one energy drink every day is usually my limit. I try not to go overboard, although I do have two drinks on occasion. However, it seems there are others that enjoy caffeine even more than I do within the Las Vegas valley.
Several burglaries occurred throughout the month of July in Las Vegas. Most of the robberies occurred at local Costcos. The descriptions of the robbers were consistent between crimes. With each robbery committed, there was one common denominator that tied each of the crimes: Red Bull.
All of the robberies involved the caffeine-loaded refreshment, and the robbers stole thousands of dollars worth of Red Bull at a time. Can you imagine being THAT addicted to Red Bull? According to 8NewsNow, the pair were also violent. Employees faced pepper sprayings, elbows to the face, and threats with a firearm over the course of the incidents. Throughout the month of July, Las Vegas police have been trying to track down the criminals. Fortunately, an employee took photos of their getaway car during one of the incidents…
Last Thursday, one Las Vegas police officer noticed a vehicle that matched the description of the Red Bull bandits’ car. He pursued the vehicle and turned on his lights, but the vehicle refused to stop. At this point, a high speed chase ensued on the Las Vegas freeways. Vehicles reached speeds of around 100 miles per hour on the highway, and chaos ensued. After about 15 minutes, the driver finally parked his car and both the driver and his passenger got out.
Major shoutout to the sharp eye of that Las Vegas police officer. Both individuals in the vehicle were, indeed, the Red Bull robbers. In the vehicle, police found a Pittsburgh Steelers’ jersey that matched the one seen they had seen in surveillance video. They also found approximately 200 cans of Red Bull inside the car and trunk.
While in custody, one of the pair admitted to being the suspect in one of the robberies. It was at that moment that they admitted they committed the crimes because of their addiction to Red Bull…
INSANITY.
