Las Vegas: ‘Rick And Morty’ Takes Over Fremont Street Experience (PICTURES)
Leading up to the highly anticipated premiere of Rick and Morty Season 6 this weekend, Adult Swim has hosted a global event unlike any other. For those that follow the official Rick and Morty Instagram, there’s no doubt that you’ve seen glimpses of the incredible, first-ever โliving episodeโ fan experience that has made it’s way to 14 cities around the world. In fact, the #WORMAGEDDON experience has made it’s way to every continent except for Antarctica!
#WORMAGEDDON has officially reached it’s final stop in fabulous Las Vegas! The scene has taken over the Fremont Street Experience, with Rick and Morty superheroines, Space Beth and Planetina, fighting the alien worm while Summer captures the action with her Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Buds2 Pro. It was seriously surreal to see one of my favorite shows take over one of my favorite spots in Las Vegas!
Not only is there an amazing display out for visitors to enjoy, but Rick and Morty themselves have taken over the Viva Vision canopy overtop of Fremont Street and most all of the surrounding screens. The entirety of Fremont Street is a Rick and Morty wonderland, and I’m living for it. It truly feels like you’re in a “living episode.” Major props to Adult Swim!
According to Adult Swim CMO, Tricia Melton, the preparation for this global fan experience was intense and took several months to coordinate and create. “It’s like planning the biggest wedding ever,” she joked. “This has taken a huge team of people at Adult Swim that have been working on this for about a year.”
All of the hard work by Adult Swim has surely paid off, as the experience has been a huge attraction for Rick and Morty fans from all over the globe. Tricia stated that millions have participated in the global fan event between those that have visited the physical displays and those that have engaged on social media. #WORMAGEDDON saw a huge response online from fans eager to participate in a global treasure hunt to unlock the location of 9 of the 14 builds and win a golden live-size Rick head. Definitely the coolest treasure hunt I’ve ever heard of… I want a giant Rick head! So jealous!
I had the chance to visit the attraction as it was revealed to the public this morning, September 2nd. You already know I had to provide you the ultimate first look! #WORMAGEDDON is open on Fremont Street daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM PST until September 11th.
