Nevada Minimum Wage Set To Increase – Here’s How Much You’ll Make
It’s no secret that money is tighter than ever right now. Between inflation and the current state of the economy, most everyone is feeling the struggle, especially those making a less-than-acceptable minimum wage. Fortunately, there’s some great news for Nevadans currently making minimum wage! More money is on the horizon and headed to your pockets, as the current Nevada minimum wage is set to increase in just a few months. Curious how much more money you’ll make? Read on to find out!
Starting July 1st, 2023, Nevada’s hourly minimum wage rate will increase by 75 cents. Huzzah! But wait… It’s important to note that Nevada has a special two-tier system for its minimum wage rate based on whether an employee has qualifying health benefits.
According to News 3, “Beginning in July, the minimum wage for employees who are offered qualifying benefits will be $10.25 per hour. The rate will be $11.25 for those without the offered benefits.”
But wait? What about those overtime rates? Don’t worry… Those are going up as well! For those with qualifying offered health benefits, their new overtime rate will be increased to $15.375 per hour, and for those who do not have the offered benefits, overtime pay will be increased to $16.875 per hour.
One of the greatest realizations to come from it all is the reminder that Nevada’s minimum wage is actually required by law to increase by 75 cents each year… at least through 2024. Prepare to celebrate another 75 cent increase next year as well! Woop woop! Fingers crossed we don’t continue to see prices rise and that extra 75 cents an hour can be put to good use.

The Best Cities To Meet Someone; Las Vegas Ranks Or Tanks
The best cities to meet someone. Las Vegas places on the list for dating.
Love is a sacred thing that we hope all get to experience at some point in their life. From a young age we witness and learn about love from our elders. We have seen love in different forms and the adventures that it can take people on. As we grow older we learn that love is important and that it’s hard to survive without it. The world seems more bleak without a little flare of love.
Finding ones true love is for the fairytales. Or is not? We have seen or heard of the Disney movies that show happily ever afters and to tell you the truth it’s possible to find that in real life.
What is “that” though? That is a relationship where you mesh easy with someone based on their personality, looks and overall connection. Dating apps have made it easier in the twenty-first century in finding our other half. So that we think. There are apps like Tinder and Bumble that generally show you photos of singles that are in your local area. The tiring “swipe right” only does so well until you run out of potentials in your area.
Our friends at Shane Co, conducted a survey on the best places in the U.S. for a Meet-Cute. What is a meet-cute? ShaneCo.com states, “In a movie, a meet-cute is a scene where two people who have a romantic future together interact with each other for the first time, usually under quirky or unusual circumstances.” So if you’re out and about look around as your other half could be a lot closer than you think.
Below you will find some of the best cities to meet someone in. Surprisingly, even with Las Vegas growing over 2 million residents and with an influx of tourists on the daily a shot of love still exists.
The data was concluded off of 14 factors in relation to meeting someone unexpectedly. The analysis sought categories like:
- How many singles there are in each of the cities.
- The interest in dating apps in each of the cities.
- How many local businesses are in each of the cities.
