Josh Jacobs Says ‘Goodbye Raiders,’ Heads To Green Bay Packers
In a surprising move, Josh Jacobs will be leaving the Las Vegas Raiders and will be joining the Green Bay Packers.
According to a post by the NFL on Monday, the Packers were slated to sign Jacobs. Well, it appears that the deal went through, and the Packers will now call Josh Jacobs their new running back.
According to The Athletic, “Jacobs, 26, rushed for 805 yards on 233 carries with six touchdowns in 13 games last season with the Las Vegas Raiders.”
The NFL further posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Jacobs’ deal in Green Bay consists of a four-year, $48 million contract. The Packers Wire service, a USA Today affiliate, also said that Jacobs will get a $12.5 million signing bonus, and he’ll get $14.8 million in his first year.

Green Bay Packers Replace Aaron Jones
Along with the news that Jacobs would join the packers, it was also reported that the Packers released Aaron Jones.
A day after being released, ESPN reported that Jones reached a deal with the Minnesota Vikings
“Although he struggled with injuries last season, Jones could provide an upgrade for Minnesota after rushing for 226 yards and three touchdowns in Green Bay’s surprising two-game postseason run,” ESPN reported.
Raiders Welcome Gardner Minshew
According to another post by the NFL, the Raiders agreed on a two-year deal for quarter back Gardner Minshew. Fox Sports reports the deal is for $25 million with $15 million guaranteed.
“Minshew, 27, is coming off a Pro Bowl season in which he went 7-6, and had the Colts within a drive of the playoffs after taking over for Anthony Richardson,” Fox Sports reported.
