Bellagio Fountains To Be Controlled By Guest Monday
There are those that plunk down money for their hotel room. Others have enough points to book their hotel room for free. Then there are those that have so many points, they can do things money can’t buy. That’s what Scott Krupa is doing with the Bellagio Fountains on Monday morning.
Bellagio Fountains Takeover Part Of Pie In The Sky Promotion
If you’re rich, plunking down $250,000 to get to choose which song on the Bellagio Fountains jukebox will play is no big deal. Back in 2017, the property offered that up to the rich people that wouldn’t flinch at the chance.
This? This is something way different.
Scott Krupa is swimming in Marriott Bonvoy points. Considering he was drowning in them, he decided to turn the tables on water itself. Spending 2.4 million points for the honor, Krupa has literally been allowed to design a show for the fountains. A show that will mark the 40th for the property.
It’s Not Just “What Song Do You Want To Play”
Sure, they could give this guy a patronizing “what song do you want?” But this isn’t that. This is the real thing.
By cashing in the points, he got to work hand in hand with WET Design, the company responsible for designing these intricately designed shows at the Bellagio Fountains. Krupa got to learn the art of designing the show.
It’s not just a song. It is getting the over 1200 jets inside of the body of water to move in concert and to the track. The direction of those jets, the lighting… everything! It looks effortless. It is not.
