Sammi’s Honest Review Of Sonic’s Pickle Juice Slush

Let me start by saying… I am very likely the biggest fan of pickles out there. I’ve been obsessed since early childhood. I’ve never met a pickle I didn’t like. Sweet, dill, bread and butter. Give them all to me. Please.

I suppose I’ve been living under a rock until now, because a pickle-lovers dream once lived on Sonic‘s menu back in 2018. A pickle juice slush was available for those who dared try something so bizarre, and it is absolutely devastating that I did not possess this knowledge prior to this week.

However, this story has a happy ending. Sonic has brought back the pickle juice slush for a limited time. The unique menu item will remain available through August 28th, a mere three weeks. According to USA Today, the slush is one of Sonic’s most requested menu items.

As the ultimate pickle fanatic, you already know I had to zip over to Sonic immediately to give this sweet, tart treat a try. I got a large, of course, because go big or go home.

My Honest Review:

I went into my first sip anticipating straight up pickle juice from a jar. Surely they wouldn’t alter the taste of pickle juice, right? Well… the slush hit my tongue, and the first flavor present was not pickle juice. Rather, I tasted lime. The true pickle juice flavor followed soon after, but I was so taken back by the initial taste. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first. The lime was throwing me off.

But, like I said, your girl went all out and got a large. So I had quite a ways to go. As I kept sipping throughout the day, I grew more fond of the odd pickle/lime combo. It was refreshing and fulfilled every pickle craving I had.

All in all, if you’re a pickle-lover, this is the perfect refreshment for a hot summer day. Give this funky slush a try before it disappears again after August 28th.

If you’re not a pickle-lover, avoid this like the plague.
