Red Rock Casino, Lotus Of Siam Owners To Debut Two New Restaurants
Lotus Of Siam is a culinary institution in Las Vegas. Well, Lotus Of Siam sued Lotus Of Siam and now all we want to eat is popcorn.
Following the grand opening of Las Vegas‘ third Lotus of Siam location inside Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa just a few short months ago, the owners of the eatery have announced that two new restaurants will be making their debut at the popular local casino.
According to News 3, Bua Food Group revealed in a news release that two upcoming eateries, Naxos Taverna and Kallisto Oyster Bar at Naxos, will officially open to the public on Saturday, February 18th, adding an even greater variety of dining choices to the Red Rock Casino lineup.
Naxos Taverna will primarily serve a medley of various contemporary Greek, seafood-focused cuisine, including “whole fish, kataifi-wrapped prawns and traditional meze.” The restaurant will be open Sunday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Kallisto Oyster Bar plans to offer guests “one of the city’s largest and freshest seafood menus, with more than 25 types of fish and several varieties of oysters.” The new oyster bar will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Lou Abin, managing partner and co-founder of Bua Food Group, expressed his elation over the upcoming grand openings of their two latest dining projects. “We are excited to continue on this culinary adventure together as a hospitality group and deliver excellent dining options to the Summerlin community and Red Rock Casino guests.”

Potted Plant Dessert In Vegas Makes Perfect Instagram-able Moment
There are a lot of places to eat in Las Vegas and with everyone competing for your attention… This restaurant has stepped outside of the box or shall we say garden?
Tao Asian Bistro, located inside the Venetian Las Vegas, has a Potted Carrot Cake on their menu and you can order it to eat. Now whether you’re a carrot cake fan or not is another discussion but this dessert is worth checking out. This does not surprise us though as Tao is known for creating extra glamourous desserts. Their recent Holiday Fortune Cookie was decadent and very beautiful.
The cool part is that this impressive plant dessert is that it’s only available at the Las Vegas location. Served on a white plate, sits a red pot with cake-like soil, bright orange candied micro carrots and green leaves making this the realest looking “plant” dessert that we have ever seen. The inside is layered when you cut into it with cream, soft carrot cake and miso caramel. The dessert looks to be sharing size for a group of four.
There isn’t a price on the menu but for Instagram… It might just be worth the cost.
Tao is only open during dinner times and on certain days of the week. Here are their hours of operation:
- Monday and Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday and Thursday: 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: 5:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
If you haven’t dined with them before here are a few things to know. Make a reservation at least 60 days in advanced as the restaurant is very popular and books up quickly. If you do have five or more people in your party they will ask that a credit card is filed with them to hold your reservation. Calling them also helps to see if they have any open availability and to make sure your reservation is confirmed.
Best of luck and we hope you enjoy their new potted plant dessert! Check it out below:
