That’s A Wrap On Aimee+Shawn’s First Show
The first day is in the books for Aimee+Shawn on the all new 102.7 VGS, and we cannot be more thrilled!
So much hard work and effort went on behind the scenes to make this day a reality – all from Las Vegas locals like you. Engineers, management, promotions, digital department, sales department, you name it – everyone has had a hand in creating what we think is a pretty cool station! Not only on-air, but off as well.
It has been a dream of Shawn’s to have a morning show in this city for many years now… and Aimee… well she’s had one for quite a while! But both are incredibly excited to give the city a new, local option to wake up in the morning.
Lets talk about the studio, because she is PRETTY. The new 102.7 VGS studios were stripped bare and re-imagined for 2022. Walls were painted in VGS red and gray, and tons of wire and equipment was loaded in!
Behind Aimee is the feature wall, which boasts 3 massive HD screens showing the 102.7 VGS logo (and frankly, anything else we want when we get bored). The screens are back-lit and honestly our studio looks as cool as a 15 year old’s Twitch channel now.
Behind the board there will be another vertical monitor to show off the 102.7 VGS and Aimee+Shawn brand, and even celebrity interviews that might dial in.
Not to mention all the cameras! Four in total – at least for now – with a camera at every position, including one up in the rafters to get every angle of the studio so you don’t miss a thing! This isn’t just a radio show and station. This is rethinking what a show and station should be.
Every day, expect LOADS of video content from Aimee+Shawn and the rest of the VGS staff. We are building this station around you. Yeah, it’s corny, but it’s true. We know you might not listen ALL DAY (but you should).
