I try to “be the sunshine” in my everyday life. For as long as I can remember, my greatest passion has been spreading light, love, and positivity in the world. We desperately need more of it.

While visiting my loved ones in the ‘wild and wonderful’ state of West Virginia, I decided that I wanted a small tattoo of a sun on my middle finger. An opportunity presented itself to get my dream tattoo for *pretty much* free. Done. I was sold. I just had to buy disposable razor blades at a gas station on my way…

At the local volunteer fire department, my inner WV goon came out, and I received my first tattoo with the help of a volunteer fireman who dabbled in the art form. I love my little sun tattoo. It’s faded quite a bit (she’s looking pretty rough nowadays), but I plan to get it touched up. Possibly by the same gentleman that inked the original work. Meh. We’ll see…

With the help of a SUPER thick ring from Amazon, I was able to hide the tattoo from my family. Until today… My parents are very supportive of my career, and they listen every time I’m behind a mic. They not only got matching suns on their middle fingers, but we each got a small moon as well. We love them so much, but it has me thinking: when can I get another? And if I do, what should it be?

Many people like the idea of having a tattoo. Modern Gentleman reports that 40% of 18-34-year-olds have one tattoo or more. While there is nothing wrong with showing off a sweet tat, some prefer a tattoo that can be easily covered or concealed. This has made simple, minimalistic tattoos very popular right now. I’m no exception, and the simple design of my sun and moon has only made me want more tiny tats. Choosing what design you want isn’t always easy, though. Some might want their tattoos to have a deep, personal meaning, while others might just want one because they love the way it looks. Both of these are great reasons, and luckily, we have the internet to look to for endless inspiration.

Butch is an active little guy, but these high temperatures are hard on his stuffy little body. Don’t forget that the individual needs of your furry friend may vary based on their breed or personal traits. Fortunately, these ideas should generally work for all dogs and allow for subtle adjustments to be made if needed. These are loved by dogs of all kinds.
