Watch: ‘The Bagel Nook’ Behind-The-Scenes
There are few foods out there that inspire as much passion as the humble bagel. People have strong opinions on what makes a good bagel (boiled then baked? baked then boiled?), what toppings are acceptable (plain cream cheese only, or get adventurous with smoked salmon and capers?), and which variations are sacrilegious (Believe it or not, some people actually like bagel bites). But one thing we can all agree on is that bagels are delicious.
I previously shared that a brand new bagel shop had opened near Downtown Summerlin that I couldn’t wait to try. I’d seen photos online of their various untraditional takes on the classic breakfast food, and I knew I needed to experience a cereal bagel as soon as humanly possible.
Now, I can officially say that I have experienced the wonders of The Bagel Nook, and I have returned to share my thoughts on the experience and, more importantly, their CRAZY bagels. VIDEO BELOW!
The Perfect Combination of Chewy and Crisp
What’s the secret to a good bagel? It’s all in the texture. A good bagel should have a chewy interior with a crisp, golden-brown crust, and that is exactly what I received when I ordered a Fruity Pebbles bagel and a Flamin’ Hot Cheetos bagel at The Bagel Nook. Their bagels are made fresh daily, and both of the sweet and savory options I chose delivered big time. Yum!
An Endless Array of Flavor Possibilities
Bagels come in so many different flavors at The Bagel Nook (SO many… you’ll see in the video belowe). It’s hard to make up your mind upon arrival. From classic flavors like plain and poppy seed to more innovative options like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Puff, and Oreo, there’s a bagel there for everyone. And let’s not forget about all of the different cream cheeses they have available to choose from. It’s honestly mind blowing. There are SO many ways you can top your bagel. Whether you prefer your cream cheese spread sweet (I highly recommend the crumb cake cream cheese) or savory (yo, that ghost pepper cream cheese was so hottttt but so good, I also highly recommend), there’s an option for you. There are also endless possibilities when it comes to combining these funky bagels with a unique cream cheese, and The Bagel Nook even offers “overloads,” in which they enhance certain bagel/cream cheese combos even more. The possibilities are endless!

Las Vegas: 7 Tasty Treats To Enjoy This Fall
Fall is, hands down, my favorite season of all. The overall color palette, the comfy, cozy sweaters, and the drop in temperature is enough to send me floating on a pumpkin-shaped cloud nine.
Perhaps my favorite component of fall is the treats. It’s no secret at this point. I’m a major foodie. Some of these items are brand spankin’ new, some are fall classics, and some are only available in Las Vegas. You can’t go through the fall without a Pumpkin Pie Blizzard from Dairy Queen. That’s a given. But the brand new Blood Orange Dunkin’ Refresher from Dunkin’ needs the hype and the spotlight it deserves. And Starbucks… We already know they’ve been killing the fall game for decades with their Pumpkin Spice Latte. It’s almost like an unspoken rule. You basically have to get one, but it’s important to know before you go that the price went up.
Nonetheless, these items are sure to shift you into the fall spirit in no time. And I’m ready to transport at first taste. I’d really like to say “sayonara” to these ridiculously high temperatures at this point. I love the desert and all of the weather it brings throughout the year, but enough is enough. Bring on the sweaters and the Sanderson Sisters!
