A Guide To The Baseball Playoff Eating And Drinking
The baseball playoffs have begun, and with them comes the age-old tradition of heading to the stadium to root, root, root for the home team. But as any woman who’s ever been to a baseball game knows, sometimes the food and drink options at the stadium leave a little something to be desired. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to help you navigate the concession stand like a pro.
First things first: if you’re going to be drinking alcohol at the game, it’s important to pace yourself. With all of the excitement of cheering on your team, it can be easy to lose track of how much you’ve had to drink. A good rule of thumb is to have one alcoholic beverage for every two innings you’ll be in the stadium. That way, you can enjoy yourself without overdoing it.
As for food, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, stadiums tend to be pretty pricey when it comes to concessions, so it’s always a good idea to eat something before you head into the ballpark. That way, you won’t be as tempted by the $12 hot dogs. Second, if you’re looking for something a little healthier than traditional stadium fare, most parks now offer vegetarian and gluten-free options. And finally, if you’re in the mood for something sweet, don’t forget about that classic ballpark staple: Cracker Jacks!
A number of stadiums have added new food debuted for this playoff season including the ‘62 Burger‘ at Yankee Stadium in honor of Aaron Judge’s 62 regular reason home runs. Check out the new eats here.
No matter what your plans are for this year’s baseball playoffs, we hope this guide has helped you navigate the concession stands like a pro. From all of us here at Major League Eating, happy snacking!
