Apply To Join North Las Vegas Police Department’s ‘Citizen’s Academy’
When it comes to the daily duties of our local law enforcement, how much do you really know about their jobs? It’s likely that you, like most of the general population, only know a small fraction of the work our local police officers are doing. That’s why the North Las Vegas Police Department are urging residents to apply to for their Citizen’s Academy!

What exactly is the Citizen’s Academy?
All of the applicants that are ultimately chosen to attend the upcoming summer session of the NLVPD’s Citizen’s Academy can expect to retain a greater understanding and a true look into the lives of our local North Las Vegas police officers over the span of a 4-week course. According to News 3, “Citizens will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with community issues and better understand local officers.”
When will the Citizen’s Academy take place?
If you’re interested in applying and attending the NLVPD’s Citizen’s Academy but you have a super busy schedule, here is some great news! Fortunately, the Citizen’s Academy is not a major time commitment, as it will only occur every Wednesday at North Las Vegas City Hall from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. from July 19th through August 9th.
How do you apply for NLVPD’s Citizen’s Academy?
