Boulder City Woman Shooting For Gold At Paris Olympics
Boulder City’s Lexi Lagan is once again shooting for gold in this year’s Summer Olympics in Paris, France. She competed on the U.S. Shooting Team back in 2021 at the Tokyo Olympics. With that experience under her belt, she hopes to make the podium this time.
Boulder City’s Lexi Lagan Shoots For Gold At Paris Olympics
Those of us who have lived in the Las Vegas valley for any length of time know that we don’t have to drive very far to get a taste of small-town life. Beautiful Boulder City is a great place to visit or to live.
One of its residents could earn some big time fame this summer. Lexi Lagan is a graduate of Boulder City High School, Class of 2011. She recently served as the Grand Marshall on the Fourth of July at the Boulder City Damboree parade. That’s according to an article by Jeff Wollard on ReviewJournal.com.
Although Lexi Lagan failed to win a medal at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, she has a lot more international experience under her belt this year. In fact, last fall she won two medals at the Pan American Games in Chile.
Lagan won bronze in Women’s Sport Pistol and silver in Women’s 10m air pistol. The 2024 Summer Olympics shooting competition begins ten days from now on July 27. Boulder City’s pride and joy will be competing for gold in the women’s 10m air pistol event. I guess she’ll be going up against a lot of the competitors from the Pan American Games.
Rules And Info For 2024 Paris Olympics Shooting Events
I was just checking some of the rules and information about the shooting events in which Lexi Lagan will be participating. This year’s competition will take place at the Chateauroux Shooting Center.
There are three different types of guns being used in various events, including pistol, rifle, and shotgun. According to the Olympics website, both the pistol and rifle events take place on an indoor range. Shotgun competitions happen outdoors.
Targets for the indoor events range from 10 meters away, 25m, and 50m. Shooters may be competing in kneeling, standing, or prone positions. Additionally, some of the events include all shooting positions.
