First Nevada Ojos Locos Location To Open In North Las Vegas
It’s been described as the Latino version of Hooters. Ojos Locos will open its first Nevada location in North Las Vegas on Feb. 6.
The Ojos Locos Sports Cantina Y Casino is part of an effort to have a hotel-casino completely dedicated to the Latino community. And the highlight of Ojos Locos? Well, it’s clearly the Chicas.
Like Hooters or Twin Peaks, the “chicas” of Ojos Locos are the waitresses, who are known for their sexy uniforms that include short skirts and tight tank tops.
This establishment is a collaboration between Fifth Street Gaming and Dallas-based Ojos Locos Sports Cantina. According to a press release, this will be the first hotel-casino that is dedicated to the Latino community.
According to Ojos’ website, “The concept was built to cater to the Latino bringing you a comfortable laid back sports cantina where you can sit back and relax after a hard day’s work, watch your favorite team play, party with friends, dine with family and enjoy outgoing and friendly service by one of our chicas coquetas y bonitas.”
There are 26 locations across the country with Las Vegas being the newest addition. Menu items include ceviche, shrimp cocktail, quesadillas, elotes and other Latino-inspired bar food that’s good for the soul. Along food, Ojos will also offer alcohol and beer towers.
TVs will line the sports bar’ interior, a video poker bar will have 35 seats and the casino will have over 200 gaming machines with a brand-new sportsbook as well, according to Eater Vegas. Hotel Jefe will be the casino’s 90-room hotel. Officials from Ojos says the restaurant will play 80% Latin music, have staff that speaks Spanish and the restaurant will contain décor with “cheeky Spanish innuendos.”
The opening date of Ojos Locos is Feb. 6 with the address being 3227 Civic Center Dr, North Las Vegas, NV 89030.
