Who Is Hauling A Horse Butt Statue Around Las Vegas?
Living in Las Vegas comes with its own set of sights. While Columbus and Oklahoma City are impressed by the likes of the Wienermobile cruising their streets, here in Vegas that’s simply pedestrian. A Star Wars Landcruiser cruising down Rainbow? Meh. But occasionally something so unique is spotted on our roads that we have to ask the question: who was driving around with a horse butt statue in Mountain’s Edge on Saturday?
The mystery of the Las Vegas Horse Butt
The statuesque rear end of a horse was seen by myself (hey I’m Shawn from Aimee+Shawn) Saturday morning in the Mountain’s Edge neighborhood. Obviously the piece is absolutely massive… but that’s not the whole thing. Sadly, the horse lost its head. Maybe the head was inside the cab, maybe they plan on making a second trip for the dome. Maybe it was lost in a poker game. Whatever the case, all that was left was the posterior and torso. It still looked majestic.
The driver obviously kept the horsey well secured. Strapped down several times and caressed by hay bails (of course), it seemed pretty secure on the back of the pickup truck. There was even a piece of red cloth on the horse statue’s tail to help surrounding drivers spot that they are dealing with the business end of a horse.
Was this horse for sale? Was it living in Mountain’s Edge and sold on OfferUp? Does the driver just drive with most of a horse statue’s body for giggles? The world may never know. What we do know is it’s one of the greatest things we’ve seen on the road and we will not rest until we see that glorious galloper’s head.
