Big Bummer: All Las Vegas Big Lots Are Closing
It has been a rough go for businesses. Party City announced they are shutting down, The Container Store just filed for bankruptcy (those prices though), and now all Las Vegas Big Lots are closing after a year that saw several locations close already.
It was only back in September when Big Lots filed for bankruptcy protection to try to save what remained of the company. In total, 340 stores around the country closed including several in the Las Vegas area. The hope was a leaner company could save it, but it wasn’t meant to be.
On December 19th, the company announced that the gig was up, their plans for being saved through the bankruptcy process were dashed, and all Las Vegas Big Lots are closing with liquidation sales as they did with their prior locations.
All Las Vegas Big Lots Are Closing
All but two Big Lots locations were already in the act of liquidating their stock at a major discount from regular price, with the caveat that all sales were final. The locations that were already closing include:
- 3940 Blue Diamond Road, Las Vegas
- 8140 South Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas
- 5120 South Fort Apache Road, Las Vegas
- 1601 West Craig Road, North Las Vegas
- 8570 West Lake Mead Boulevard, Las Vegas
- 390 West Lake Mead Parkway, Henderson
- 5055 West Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas (which is in a former Circuit City)
Now all Las Vegas Big Lots are closing, including the final two that were planned to survive:
- 7781 West Tropical Parkway, Las Vegas
- 1221 West Warm Springs Road, Henderson
The retailer, which was known for providing discount goods that covered the gamut from food to decor to furniture and more was struggling in recent years due to inflating interest costs and more, and their debt was too much to bare. At least we have the 99 Cent Stores. Oh, wait.
