See The Slammer! Las Vegas Metro Offering Tours Of Local Jail
Let’s be honest – For those of us who have never found ourselves behind bars… we’re all a little curious about the experience. What is it really like? What does it feel like to be locked behind bars? What’s the vibe in jail? The Las Vegas Metro Police Department knows that all of us who have never been booked are a little curious, and that is why they are offering us the opportunity to see the slammer for ourselves!
If you’re one of us curious folk, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is allowing the public to take a tour of the Clark County Detention Center. On Saturday, April 29th, a group will be led on a showing of the local jail, allowing visitors to see and experience what the detention center is like.
According to 8 News Now, a post to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department’s Twitter page expressed that interested individuals 18 or older should reach out to Recruiting Officer Jimison to RSVP by emailing him at c14521j@lvmpd.com The tour of the Clark County Detention Center will take place at 330 S. Casino Center Boulevard, beginning at 12:00 p.m. and running a couple hours long.
