Lee Canyon Summer Activities Now Open 7 Days A Week
My, how things change quickly on Mount Charleston. At the beginning of the month, Lee Canyon was still clinging onto slopes, skiing and snowboarding. Now, Lee Canyon summer activities are officially underway effective Friday, May 24th, and they are open 7 days a week!
A Lee Canyon Summer Visit Offers So Much
When the sun starts beating and the arid desert air has got you down, Lee Canyon offers the perfect respite from the sizzle. Leave the scorching hot pavement behind you and enjoy temperatures that are several degrees cooler, with activities and views to die for.
Here is a taste of what some of the Lee Canyon summer activities have to offer:
Axe Throwing
Take out a little stress and take a stab at slinging an axe towards the target. Take off a little steam, get some practice in, or picture your ex. We won’t tell.
Mountainside Yoga
Get your “om” on with mountainside yoga as part of Lee Canyon summer activities. Bring your own mat and head to the Bristlecone Bar sky deck. Check their website for availability and times.
Disc Golf
What might be the most treacherous disc golf course on the planet, a Lee Canyon summer flings disc golf at ya. Just be careful not to yeet the disc far off target, otherwise you can kiss that disc goodbye.
Scenic Lift Ride
Perhaps the best thing about the Lee Canyon summer activities is the ride on the chair lift. Being so high above the valley, the air is crisp, cool and soothing. The views are second to none. You are one with nature. It is sure to make the most stressful day melt away.
Opening Soon: Downhill Mountain Biking Course
Beginning June 14th, you’ll be able to traverse down Lee Canyon’s mountain bike park. There are also classes that will get you ready to bike like a pro.
Tropical Storm Hilary Was A Jerk
Safe to say we still have a bone to pick with Hilary. The storm swept into Mount Charleston and cut last year’s Lee Canyon summer activities short. Heck, it still has the Upper Bristlecone trail closed to this day, one of the big things to do at Lee Canyon.
But, we are glad the summer time is back. If you haven’t made it up when the temps hit triple digits, trust us – you will love it.
