5 Great Reasons You Should Go To Your Class Reunion
I wasn’t going to go to our class reunion. I missed the 10 because a friend was getting married in New York the weekend before and living so far away it’s hard to get there more than once a year. I felt like I didn’t miss much. So when our 20 started coming up in conversations I didn’t think I was going to go. Boy, am I glad I went. If you are on the edge of going or not, here are some reasons I think you should go and I don’t think you will regret it.
1. Reconnect with Old Friends:
A class reunion is a perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends you may have lost touch with over the years. I know I did. It’s a chance to reminisce about old times and catch up on each other’s lives. I hung out with people I didn’t even know that I truly missed.
2. Networking Opportunities:
It’s like a LinkedIn meetup with food and drinks. You never know who you’ll meet or what connections you can make at a class reunion. I talked to classmates and I found out they did so many cool and interesting things. Former classmates you know or meet back up with may have gone on to some pretty awesome careers and may even be able to help you out in your career or you could help them.
3. Reliving Memories:
Revisiting your high school memories is more fun than you can imagine it being. It’s hysterical and also you experience so much nostalgia. You’ll get to walk down memory lane, talking about funny stories, things that happened that you’ll never forget, or get reminded of things you may have forgotten. These years shaped your teenage years it’s so fun to go back to them.
4. Personal Growth:
Going to your class reunion; it’s a pretty cool moment looking to see how far you have come and how much you have grown. It seems like yesterday you were there. How does 20 years fly by in the blink of an eye. Take this time to celebrate your achievements, both big and small, and to see how your classmates have grown and changed as well!
5. Creating New Memories:
Yes, of course, you are going to talk about the past but you can also create new memories with your friends and classmates. New connections will be made. Y’all have grown everyone has changed maybe someone you weren’t; close with in school you’ll end u being close with now.
In my opinion, you should go to your 20-year class reunion and enjoy it. Cheers to the past and the future.
