Metro Pizza Opening Slice Concept In Southwest Las Vegas
One of the most beloved local pizza franchises in Las Vegas is Metro Pizza. The pizzeria has been serving the valley since 1980 and currently have four locations throughout the valley that spread from the northwest valley towards the center.
Now Metro is bringing a new concept to the booming Southwest valley, and while they might not be bringing a proper full-fat Metro to incoming “The Bend” shopping center across from Ikea, you will be able to get a taste one slice at a time.
Metro Pizza Introduces ‘Sliceteria’ Concept
It’s a twist on the legendary taste of Metro Pizza. Sliceteria (a combination between ‘slice’ and ‘cafeteria’) will be offering up several different pizzas by the slice, from 15 different types of pie according to 8 News Now. Sometimes you’re not in the mood for a full pie, or maybe you’ve been wanting to get a taste of a type of pizza but are a commitment phobe and just want a little taste, this is the concept for you.
Metro Pizza plans on launching the first Sliceteria at The Bend with other locations to be scattered throughout the valley.
The Bend Is Still Around The Bend
It feels like we’ve been talking about “The Bend” for quite a while, and while the development has been a bit delayed things are underway at the location. Several restaurants have signed onto the higher-end shopping center including the southwest’s first taste of Freed’s Dessert Shop and a pickleball joint called Electric Pickle.
Since the project was announced just before COVID shut down everything in February of 2020, a lot has changed. The Uncommons and Durango Casino & Resort have opened and there is more competition than ever. When it was first announced, it was the first spark in the Southwest valley since Ikea was built.
Now The Bend’s construction is underway and slices from Metro will be soon to follow.
