MGM Resorts Parking Fees And Resort Fees Increase Again
We know what you’re thinking. “Gosh, self. I have so much expendable income. It sure would be nice to pay more in MGM Resorts parking fees and resort fees.” Well, you’re in luck, you masochist, you.
MGM Resorts International made the announcement that effective this Wednesday, December 4th at 10am, the prices they are a-rising. Let’s start with parking because, as Las Vegas locals, this is what we are likely to notice first.
MGM Resorts Parking Fees Get Hiked
Get ready to pay more for MGM Resorts parking fees. Self park will be getting a $2 increase for each timeframe. So weekdays (Monday to Thursday) increase from $18 to $20, and weekend (Friday to Sunday) go up from $23 to $25. For locals with a Nevada ID that happen to park on a day where there isn’t forced event parking rates, you’ll still get the first three hours for free.
There are other ways to get free parking. Did you serve the country, or did your spouse? You can park for free. You just need to get the special MGM Rewards ID to get free parking. Ah, MGM Resorts parking fees. Imagine only 8 years ago, there were no fees. Sigh.
Valet sees a blanket pricing for $40, regardless of the day or property. But we don’t like anyone playing with our seat or radio, so it’s no big deal.
MGM Resort Fees See A Bump Too
Oh did you think it was done? Sadly no. For locals, we aren’t staying too often. But to all of our visitors, expect them to ask to stay at your house more.
There is an increase across the board for resort fees at MGM Resorts properties. The fee supposedly goes to wifi, outbound calling with your room’s phone, the gym, Paramount+ and the printing your boarding pass. But with wifi, you can download your airline’s app and get the boarding pass on your phone, you’d rather watch Netflix, you have a phone of your own and the last thing you want to do in a city filled with amazing restaurants is hit the gym.
But we digress. Here’s what the increase in MGM Resorts resort fees looks like from location to location according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
