Cowabunga! Las Vegas Water Parks Have Flood Of Job Openings
It’s almost unthinkable, but in a matter of days – March 11th – the heated waters of Cowabunga Bay in Henderson will be open for business. About a month later – April 15th – Cowabunga Canyon in Summerlin South swings open its doors. If you are looking for a seasonal job, you’re in luck! The Cowabunga waterparks have a deluge of job openings waiting for you.
What kind of job openings do these Las Vegas valley waterparks have?
Hiring has begun for the sister water parks with over 1,000 seasonal and part-time positions available to fill. They are looking for everything from the gates to the lifeguards, servers, bartenders, cashiers, maintenance workers and that one guy that tells you to stop dunking your friend in the lazy river? That one too.
Cowabunga Bay at the corner of Gibson and Galleria in Henderson has been entertaining crowds for nearly a decade, opening in 2014. A year prior, Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas opened its doors in the southern tip of Summerlin on South Fort Apache Road. The two were in heated competition despite only one of the waterparks – Cowabunga Bay – actually having heated water. The competition was hindered after the pandemic threw a stick in the spokes of the Spring 2020 season.
Last year Village Roadshow, the company behind Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas, sold the park to Cowabunga Bay. Since then, the two parks have joined forces, sharing a season pass and officially ending the “Great Waterpark War of 2014”.
Whether you can swim, you can smile, or you can serve, there is almost certainly a job awaiting you this summer. Not to mention all the perks of a summer-long tan and immediate access to Dippin’ Dots.
If you’re looking apply, you can do so on the Cowabunga Bay and Cowabunga Canyon websites.
