Mattel Adventure Park Opening Short Road Trip Away From Las Vegas
There’s always Disneyland and Universal, but where is the theme park for the lovers of other major pop culture phenomenons? Hot Wheels? Barbie? Thomas & Friends? They deserve to be features in their own theme park too! Fortunately, their parent company, Mattel, agrees that these major staples deserve their own experience, and so do the fans that have kept these major brands thriving for decades upon decades. Mattel Adventure Park is set to open on the west coast, just a short road trip away for local Las Vegans!
Mattel brand fans will soon be able to enjoy a theme park created entirely around all of their childhood favorite staples at the upcoming Mattel Adventure Park, which is set to open at 9601 W. Cardinals Way in Glendale, Arizona, which is just outside of Phoenix. For now, all we know is the theme park is set to open in 2024, but hey! Next year will be here before we know it, and in the meantime, you can actually watch the park’s developmental process through a construction camera they’ve set up. According to USA Today, “The theme park will be a part of the VAI Resort, which is under construction and will feature an outdoor concert venue, four hotel towers, a nightclub and more.” VAI Resort is also set to open in 2024, making the combined debut of these two new major properties a highly anticipated event.
As for what you can expect to see at Mattel Adventure Park and the brands you can expect to see, prepare to have your mind blown and your childhood playfulness and spunk reignited. From Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Thomas & Friends, to features from some of our favorite childhood Mattel games like UNO, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, and Pictionary.
